Burgiyana

-this word is often used to mean the whole of modern-day Point Pearce. In the past its location was slightly different.- according to Sarah Newchurch, Burgiyana is named after the many oil bushes (burgu) that were found in the area.- however, some people say Bugguyana (Bookooyanna), suggesting that it may come from buggi, meaning long ago.
