- although this word is commonly recorded as west, Egginton/Tindale record it to mean south and southern people.- the word as shared with some related languages does mean south wind, or cold wind, while in others it is the general word for wind. The same direction words can have different meanings among the languages of this region. So this may indicate that the meaning of warri is not completely clear.- alternatively, it may simply be Tindales error, as Louisa Egginton did not give the terms for all the directions and regions of Nharangga land.
