This does not match the words in Nharangga records. It could be a description of the place in some way, rather than the literal meaning of the word.

- although this word is commonly recorded as west, Egginton/Tindale record it to mean south and southern people.- the word as shared with some related languages does mean south wind, or cold wind, while in others it is the general word for wind. The same direction words can have different meanings among the languages of this region.
